In addition to our national Hybrid Wheat open day near Newmarket on 3 July 2013, there are a series of regional open days, providing an ideal opportunity to see the latest developments first hand on a farm near you. The open days and evenings include:
14 June – Acorn Seeds open day

18-19 June – DKB open days
From 10 am – 5 pm each day at Low Walworth Farm, Walworth, Darlington.
Hybrid Wheat varieties Hystar, Hyteck and Hybery are on display as 2nd wheats and are said to “look well compared to the rest”. There are also 52 varieties of winter wheat, barley and OSR in total.

25 June – BCW Cereals Demonstration Night – from 5.30 pm

In addition to three Hybrid Wheat varieties the event includes 10 OSR varieties, six of winter barley and 14 winter wheat, plus a fungicide performance trial showcasing SDHI chemistry.
